Founder & President
Sean Murray
Sean Murray is the founder and president of CatholicismRocks. Born and raised in the Glens of Antrim, Ireland, Sean is a husband and father of three, passionate about helping Catholics of all ages rediscover the beauty and boldness of their faith.
Together with Kathy Kachel, Sean launched CatholicismRocks to create a vibrant hub for faithful Catholics—to connect, to grow, and to form the next generation of saints. What began as a grassroots initiative has become a growing ministry, now focused on tools like the Catholic Saints Sticker Album and the Saints Academy, both designed to make faith formation visual, prayerful, and joyful for families, schools, and individuals alike.
“Iron sharpens iron,” Sean often says. “We’re here to help each other become the saints we’re called to be.”
Seeing firsthand how the faith has been weakened in Ireland and beyond, Sean felt called to act—not with despair, but with creativity and conviction. CatholicismRocks is the result: a space where Catholics can deepen their formation, celebrate tradition, and share the light of the Gospel in their homes, parishes, and communities.
In addition to leading the project, Sean also writes blog posts, develops new content, and continues to expand the ministry’s outreach across Ireland, the U.S., and the wider Catholic world.
Founder & Vice President
Kathleen Kachel
In the heart of Southern California, a remarkable woman stands as a testament to resilience and faith. She is an artist, a devoted mother of seven (blessed to have raised several more), and a conservative Catholic who has journeyed through life with unwavering determination. Her story is one of survival and strength, embodying the spirit of a true Warrior.
I am ever ready to do battle with whatever evil presents itself, for God, for Christ, for Mary, for my friends and family, and for the sake of being here. All by the Grace of God. I am blessed beyond imagination.
"I am grateful to those who have been on this journey with me no matter what their role was, I am thankful that I have come out the other side. I revel in the beauty of this world and hope that I can contribute to that, but now I'm focused on becoming the saint I am called to be and I want to bring as many along with me as possible.
God bless each of you as I offer up my prayers 🙏 for those who are most in need, those who have gone before us and all soul's in purgatory."

Melissa Mitchell
Melissa, hailing from the picturesque landscapes of Scotland, is a Catholic convert who found her faith later in life. With no significant religious influence outside of her Christian school, her journey to Catholicism was a personal and profound one. Melissa cherishes the comfort and sense of belonging that comes from being part of a community grounded in the truth of God. Her faith is a cornerstone of her life, providing her with strength, guidance, and a deep sense of peace
One day, after having her beautiful baby boy, Bowie, she felt drawn to enter the local Catholic church. Upon entering, she felt a tingling sensation all over her body, like she was receiving a big cuddle, and heard a voice say, “Child, sit.” After this experience, Melissa started attending Mass every day with Bowie. Within a week, she contacted the priest to inquire about becoming Catholic. At that point, she didn't know much about the religion, but she understood that she was home and that God was with her. Months later, her son Bowie tragically passed away from SIDS. It was then that Melissa fully understood why she had been so suddenly drawn to her church. God knew she would need Him and wanted her to know that He loves her and would help her through the darkness of grief.
Melissa discovered a wonderful community of like-minded Catholics online who welcomed her into their faith movement. She feels passionate about helping others follow the light of the world so they will not walk in darkness. She hopes this website makes other Catholics feel like they aren't alone.
