To Transform the World
These days it seems like the world is always at the brink of endless chaos. Violence lurking around every turn. Peaceful protests that sometimes turn into dangerous events that cause endless destruction. Some want radical change based on the current direction we are heading into. The world, however, cannot offer this change.
If we truly want to transform the world into something better. Then we do so by picking up the Cross and follow Christ completely. Making Christ first in our lives and in all of our interactions. Putting the Mass as one of the most important things that we do in this life. We also need to take a more active role in our parishes and by extension the communities our parishes serve. Honoring the commandments that have been handed down to us by God though His Son. Helping those around us and serving the needs of the poor, the elderly, those with disabilities. Along with the lost souls who feel like they have no place in this world.
Change and transformation into a better world will not happen with those in political power. It will not happen with acts of violence. What will bring about this change in society is by surrendering to Christ and taking part in the church that has existed for over two-thousand years. A church that is still standing and remains a bulkhead against the demands and desires of our own weak souls.
History is a good teacher. Often showing us that nations will rise and fall like the leaves caught in the wind. Political leaders will come and go. Yet though it all one thing remains consistent: Christ is here with us now. The time has come for us to pick up our Cross and make our own journey with our Savior. –
