Mwakilishi.com reports that Homa Bay Town MP Peter Kaluma has submitted a new bill to the National Assembly to criminalize homosexuality in Kenya. The Family Protection Bill proposes a ban on homosexuality, same-sex marriages, and all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) activities and lobbying in the country. It further recommends clamping down on LGBTQ promoters and funding by various groups. In his bill, Kaluma argues that sex remains a physical state of being male or female observed and assigned at birth, and not an identity one is free to choose and assign themselves. He states that parents should retain rights to their children’s education, and they must be informed and give consent to their children's sex education. The bill also proposes the banning of Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in pre-primary, primary and secondary school education programs: the teaching of abortion, homosexuality, LGBTQ issues, abortion, and masturbation. It also seeks to limit the rights to assembly, demonstration, association, expression, belief, privacy, and employment in childcare institutions in respect of homosexual convicts and those engaged in LGBTQ behavior while also prohibiting adoption by homosexuals and LGBTQ persons. The penalty imposed under the proposed Act ranges from imprisonment of at least 10 years to a death sentence. The proposed law, Kaluma says, will strengthen the provisions of Article 45 (2) of the Constitution of Kenya, which stipulates that “every adult has the right to marry a person of the opposite sex, based on the free consent of the parties.” “The proposed law intended to further the provisions of article 45 (2) of the constitution of Kenya and to protect the family will not only consolidate all existing laws relating to unnatural sexual acts but also increase the penalty for those convicted of engaging or promoting the acts to imprisonment for life or commensurate sentence,” he adds. This is a brave move despite the backlash by the liberal West and their shameless acolytes in Kenya who will definitely label him as a homophobe with other sanctions like being denied a visa to the West. It was in this home country of former US President Barack Obama who is openly pro-choice and pro-LGBTQ that the Supreme Court gave NGOs the right to register their organizations as gay rights groups. Lifesite News reported that A study released this month shows that the use of cross-sex hormones among gender-confused individuals leads to “substantially increased risk” of serious cardiac issues, including heart attacks and strokes. The research, presented at a conference of the American College of Cardiology, found that “people with gender dysphoria taking hormone replacements as part of gender affirmation therapy [sic] face a substantially increased risk of serious cardiac events, including stroke, heart attack and pulmonary embolism.” The study results showed that cross-sex hormones were linked to “nearly seven times the risk of ischemic stroke (a blockage in a vessel supplying blood to the brain), nearly six times the risk of ST elevation myocardial infarction (the most serious type of heart attack) and nearly five times the risk of pulmonary embolism (a blockage in an artery in the lung).” More than 21,000 gender-confused people across the United States were included in the research, 1,675 of whom used cross-sex hormones. The summary of results stated that “overall results found hormone replacements were associated with higher rates of cardiac events, mostly related to dangerous blood clots.” Researchers noted that estrogen and testosterone are “known to increase the clotting activity of blood, which could explain the increase in clotting-related cardiovascular events” and that those taking the drugs experienced “higher rates of substance use disorder and hypothyroidism.” They also pointed out that research on the long-term impact of hormone use is “primarily focused on younger women using hormone-based birth control or on older women following a hysterectomy or during menopause.” The researchers concluded that there is a “need for enhanced screening and counseling before starting therapy [cross-sex hormone use].” As the use of drugs to satisfy a perceived “gender identity” has increased, the long-term negative impacts of using cross-sex hormones have begun to become apparent. In October, both a congressman and a pediatric surgeon criticized the trend to pump gender-confused children with cross-sex hormones, calling the practice “child abuse.” Pro-life physician and professor Dr. Michael Egnor further said that the lie that one can “transition” to the opposite sex is “a medical atrocity,” comparing mutilating surgeries and hormones to Nazi experiments. In a newly launched book written for under-24-year-olds, the government seems to be endorsing gay relationships. The Comprehensive Sexuality Education Toolkit titled “Amahitamo Yanjye” (“My Choice”) in the country’s Kinyarwanda language seeking to curb teenage pregnancies recognizes and promotes education about homosexuality and other sexual orientations. The book is largely written in Kinyarwanda with limited English translations and states that there is no relationship between gender and sex in exploring gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation, among other topics. According to Washington Blade, to recognize the existence of gay and lesbian relationships, the toolkit uses the “Genderbread Person” tool to educate young people. The out-of-school book is a product of Plan International Rwanda, a non-governmental organization, in collaboration with Rwanda’s Ministry of Health and Rwanda Biomedical Center. Mireille Batamuliza, Rwanda’s Permanent Secretary in the Gender and Family Promotion Ministry who presided over the launch of the sexuality toolkit on March 31, acknowledged it as a solution to address teenage pregnancy through sensitization. “The kit provides lessons for adolescents especially those out of school, parents, teachers, and health works for additional knowledge,” Batamuliza said. Plan International Rwanda Country Director William Mutero noted that the sexuality toolkit brings hope to increase collaboration with various stakeholders in sharing knowledge. However, the government’s involvement in the book that also promotes homosexuality sparked criticism from the public and praise from the LGBTQ community and its rights defenders. The Triangle Organization, an NGO that supports LGBTQ communities to access services lauded the recognition of the queer community and the explanation of the “genderbread person” in Rwanda’s local language, welcomed the book. The public outcry prompted the Rwandan government’s spokesperson to state that the toolkit belongs to Plan International Rwanda and denied any state institution having “validated, endorsed or adopted” it. The book’s cover, however, bears the logos of the Health Ministry, the Rwanda Biomedical Center and Plan International Rwanda. The toolkit is also forwarded by the Rwanda Biomedical Center, a state agency whose officials, led by Adolescent Health Officer Elphaze Karamage, attended the launch. “Sexual orientation and gender identity are private matters, and the health and well-being of all Rwandans are protected without discrimination under the existing law and policy,” the government spokesperson said. There is no restriction on the discussion or promotion of LGBTQ issues in Rwanda, despite the fact the country’s 2003 constitution does not recognize homosexuality and same-sex marriage. Rwanda is the only East African nation that treats sexual orientation as a private matter free from government interference through legislation to restrict certain sexual practices. Homosexuality remains criminalized in neighboring Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. The Kenyan government, for example, this year started cracking down on foreign teenage books with LGBTQ content. MPs also passed a resolution that bans public discussion, reporting and distribution of LGBTQ-specific material. Kenya’s Education Ministry and the church have also formed a Chaplains Committee chaired by Kenya’s Anglican Church Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit to counter the infiltration of LGBTQ in schools. The committee’s mandates include counseling students who identify as LGBTQ. Rwanda in 2010 voted in support of re-introducing sexual orientation as a category in a U.N. resolution on “extrajudicial, summary or arbitrary executions” after the reference had been removed in the previous year. This move led to the decriminalization of homosexuality in Rwanda. Rwanda in 2011 joined four other African countries in signing a U.N. joint statement “Ending Acts of Violence and Related Human Rights Violations Based on Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity.” The gay rights agenda will ultimately destroy Rwanda and make nonsense of all the gains and development recorded under Kagame’s leadership. Not only does it violate God’s laws, but it is also a surreptitious depopulation agenda aimed at drastically reducing Africa’s population as the West with their ageing population is scared of the youthful population of Africa. Kagame should be smart enough to see through the veneer of the western liberals and nip this behemoth of an insatiable beast in the bud. The West has never loved Africa. I read with amusement the op-ed written by Ugandan LGBTQ Activist, Dr. Frank Mugisha captioned ‘Are US anti-gay evangelical groups involved in Uganda’s debate again?’ which was published in the Ugandan Newspaper ‘Monitor.’ As usual, he launched a virulent tirade against various evangelical US Anti-gay groups and their alleged interference with the so-called ‘homophobic laws’ passed by the Ugandan Parliament. He even revealed that he went as far as suing the popular US televangelist, Scott Lively, and the lawsuit revealed a can of worms as well as opened a Pandora’s Box. He played the victim card – the well-worn-out line by gay rights activists by opining erroneously that the recent anti-gay rights bill will lead to massive persecution of sexual minorities in the East African country. I will reiterate that rights aren’t absolute and there should be limits otherwise the need for laws that regulate human behaviour wouldn’t be necessary. Homosexuality I will say for the umpteenth time is evil as it is against the will of God and nature; it also reduces man – the only creature created in God’s image and likeness to a mere beast for unnatural sexual pleasure. It elevates sex which was created to be exclusively between two heterosexuals within the confines of marriage to something of base hedonistic pleasure which even most animals shun. Why then should this asinine act be legalized and de-criminalized? South Africa legalized same-sex marriage in 2006. Has that stopped it from having one of the highest rates of rape in the world? Has that stopped the evil of corrective rape which has made it have the infamous distinction of having the highest rate of HIV/AIDS in the world? The ancient divide-and-rule strategy that the Caucasians used to plunder Africa during the time of the brutal Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, Colonialism, and Imperialism is rearing its ugly head again as Mugisha, is being used to give prominence to something that should be shamefully done behind closed doors. I am not surprised that he was a 2014 Nobel Prize for Peace Nominee – the word ‘Peace’ has been ruthlessly hijacked by the gay lobby in a similar way that the English language has been at their mercy in their bid to redefine hitherto sacred things. The article’s author, freelance reporter Jane Lytvynenko, doom mongered how “[w]ithout the checks and balances that reporting provides, problems of disinformation that can seem insurmountable will genuinely become so.” Lytvynenko is also listed as a contributing researcher for the Harvard University Shorenstein Center’s Technology and Social Change Project. As MRC Business analyzed in its extensive three-part series on Soros’ enormous media influence, GIJN is just one entity in the laundry list of well-funded media operations in Soros’ global “Propaganda Powerhouse.” Soros's media "Powerhouse" works to push his radical leftist ideas on issues like abortion, Marxist economics, anti-Americanism, defunding the police, environmental extremism and LGBT fanaticism. Soros’ Open Society Foundations funneled $1,850,000 to GIJN between 2017 and 2021 alone. Soros also heavily funded the Shorenstein Center, where Lytvnenko worked. Soros gave $1,975,000 to Harvard’s Shorenstein Center between 2017 and 2021. One 2021 grant was earmarked specifically for the Center’s “research on media manipulation tactics and to educate the public about disinformation.” Go figure. For instance, framing it on what banks are doing allows you to get at the institutional racism that created these systems where Black people are not getting loans.’” Talk about propaganda. [Emphasis added.] It’s clear that GIJN is in no position to be pontificating to anyone about “disinformation.” The fact that it is tied to an America-hating billionaire like Soros is just par for the course. GJIN propagandized the supposed importance of its so-called "reporter's guide:" "A growing crowd of researchers, reporters, and academics is uncovering ever more damning facets of online manipulation. In reading this guide, you are becoming one of them. Never be afraid to seek and give help in this field." What a joke. It is no news that George Soros fondly referred to as ‘The man who broke the Bank of England’ when he famously made the whopping sum of 1 billion pounds in a day as a currency trader cum speculator, has been a well-known global backer of various liberal causes from abortion to gay rights, euthanasia, legalization of prostitution etc. His current bid to tackle media disinformation is highly suspicious as he clearly wants to control the narrative of what constitutes the infamous fake news ostensibly from a liberal perspective. As reported by AP: Legal limits on abortion-related travel are the focus of a new law and a new lawsuit in Idaho, with Gov. Brad Little signing a bill Wednesday that makes it illegal for an adult to help a minor get an abortion without parental consent. Meanwhile, two doctors and a regional Planned Parenthood affiliate have filed a lawsuit over the state’s newly released interpretation of a separate anti-abortion law because the attorney general says it prohibits physicians from even referring patients to out-of-state abortion providers. The new “ abortion trafficking ” law signed on Wednesday, is the first of its kind in the U.S. It makes it illegal to either obtain abortion pills for a minor or to help them leave the state for an abortion without their parents’ knowledge and consent. Anyone convicted will face two to five years in prison and could also be sued by the minor’s parent or guardian. Parents who raped their child will not be able to sue, though the criminal penalties for anyone who helped the minor obtain an abortion will remain in effect. The law also gives the attorney general the ability to prosecute someone for alleged violations of the law, even if the county prosecutor — who would normally be responsible for filing a criminal case — declines to prosecute. To sidestep violating a constitutional right to travel between states, Idaho’s law makes illegal only the in-state segment of a trip to an out-of-state abortion provider. Still, Planned Parenthood Federation of America wrote in a press release that the law raises pressing concerns about the state’s legal ability to restrict residents from traveling to neighboring states to access abortion care. The law will isolate young people and put them in danger, including those who are in abusive situations, Planned Parenthood Federation of America president Alexis McGill Johnson said. “They will stop at nothing to control what we do and where we go — even if it means holding people hostage when trying to access essential health services,” McGill Johnson wrote in the release. Opponents have promised a legal battle. “Yet again, Idaho’s governor disregarded constituents and signed HB 242 into law, creating the nation’s first crime of so-called ‘abortion trafficking.’ This legislation is despicable, and we’re going to do everything in our power to stop it,” Idaho State Director for Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates-West said Wednesday on Twitter. Idaho, like many states, has multiple abortion laws on the books. That the Idaho Governor signed the abortion bill into law is highly commendable even though it falls far short of an outright criminalization of the despicably murderous act. I would have loved a situation whereby he showed more courage in taking the bold step of criminalizing it with heavy sanctions for defaulters. As the ancient Chinese Cliché goes, the journey of a million miles begins with one step and so the step he took is highly commendable despite the virulent opposition from the murderous left led by the deadly Planned Parenthood - in my opinion ought to have been long proscribed as they are nothing short of a terrorist group terrorizing babies in the womb who should be loved and nurtured.

The ambassador of Guatemala to the UN, Ms. Carla Maria Rodríguez Mancia, told the assembly that her government had just celebrated the first anniversary of the day of life and the family, when the country was declared the pro-life capital of Ibero-America. As a political appointee of President Donald J. Trump, Valerie Huber, President of the Institute for Women’s Health, played a direct role in the establishment of the Declaration. She said, “I would like to commend all of us to think again before we put ideology over the life and health of women.” Other panelists shared their uniquely Latin American perspectives on the pro-life movement. Neydy Casillas, Vice President for International Affairs at the Global Center for Human Rights, warned the audience about how activist courts and international bodies in the Organization of American States are pressuring countries in the region to liberalize their abortion laws, despite the lack of a legal basis for doing so. “Women in Latin American need employment, they need access to education, they need health in general,” said Casillas. “They need the means to overcome poverty. They need security.” Meanwhile, the Inter-American human rights system is being used to pressure countries to liberalize their abortion laws. “They are doing this by bypassing the legislative power.” Ligia Briz of the Asociación La Familia Importa (AFI) talked about the successes of the pro-life movement in Guatemala, both in terms of law and policy and with regard to helping women facing crisis pregnancies with care and support. “Guatemala is a pro-life and pro-family country, not only because of its law but our DNA is like that,” said Briz. “You can see how we respect the pregnant women, the unborn children, the family, and family traditions.” Ellen Foell, J.D., the International Program Coordinator of Heartbeat International, spoke about the tremendous impact of reaching women in crisis with emotional and practical support. Heartbeat is the world’s largest network of life-affirming organizations, serving pregnant women, mothers, orphans, and women suffering from regretted abortions in the past. “We can agree in this room that no woman should feel so alone, she feels pressured to abort her child,” said Foell. “No woman should feel left without resources or material aid or made to feel that she has to choose between carrying her pregnancy to term and sacrificing her education, a career, or her future.” The event had particular significance because it was the first time the Geneva Consensus Declaration was highlighted at the UN and acknowledged by governments since the text of the declaration was filed as a formal UN document. This is highly commendable as maternal health should meet the real needs of women rather than the insidious liberal idea of pumping them with contraceptives, and abortion inducing drugs that do more harm than good. As reported by Pulse Ghana: The French Minister of State for For Europe And Foreign Affairs, Development, Francophonie and International Partnerships, Chrysoula Zacharopoulou has stated that Ghanaians need to respect the human rights of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgender, Queer (LGBTQ+) persons. Speaking on the anti-LGBTQ+ bill currently before Parliament, Zacharopoulou said his country France, and the European Union promote human rights therefore the rights of LGBTQ+ persons must be promoted. Addressing the press in Accra, she said "Regarding the LGBT community, in my country and the European Union, we promote human rights and of course, in my ministry, we have an ambassador who promotes LGBT rights. "So what I can say is that this is our value and wherever I go in Africa, I will continue to say we have to respect all of us, the LGBT community is a question of human rights." In August 2021, a bill was introduced in parliament to further restrict the rights of LGBT+ people. It includes criminalizing the defense of LGBT+ rights, a duty to report "suspects", the promotion of conversion therapy, and the imposition of harsher prison sentences for homosexuality. The anti-LGBTQ bill, titled, "The Promotion of Proper Human Sexual Rights and Ghanaian Family Values Bill 2021", was submitted to Parliament in June 2021. The submission of the bill to Parliament elicited a major public debate over its appropriateness. If the bill is passed by parliament, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo could either sign it into law or veto it. Why the undue emphasis on the ‘Rights’ of LGBTQ persons in Ghana? As reported by Capital News: Catholic-allied MPs have vowed to mobilize for the disbandment of NGO Board to preempt the imminent registration of a gay rights lobby group. The lawmakers castigated the Supreme Court ruling that granted the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community the rights to form a lobby group. Led by Bobasi MP Innocent Obiri, the group asserted that they will sponsor a bill in the House to avert the “negative consequences” of the apex court ruling. “The National Council of NGO should be very careful and should do a through investigation on all organizations seeking to be registered,” Obiri on Wednesday. “If the NGO council becomes a conduit in registration of such illegal activities in the country will take place, then Parliament will have no alternative that to move a bill for it disbandment,” he added. Tongaren MP John Chikati who doubles up as the caucus Secretary General urged the Ministry of Education to be on high alert as the recruitment and promotion of homosexuality is mostly done in schools. “I will move a bill in Parliament that we get the NGO council disbanded because the council has to be on the mainstream of promoting good practices. The bill should look onto our culture and traditions as well as our norms,” Chikati stated. Criminalization of same-sex relations Homabay Town MP Peter Kaluma said the caucus will move to the Supreme Court to seek a review of the ruling which he asserted is against the provision of Article 45(2) that espouses ‘family unit’ between two opposite sexes. “There is no right to be gay, lesbian or queer. We are going to request the Supreme Court in their full bench of seven to review that decision,” the lawmaker stated.
