Lightbearers – 33 Days to Jesus Through Mary
This is a gentle 33-day journey to help children grow closer to Jesus through Mary.
Each day includes a small piece of Scripture, a short teaching, a simple reflection, a little action, and a prayer.
You can do this journey at home, in school, or in a group setting.
Week 1 — God Loves Me and Wants Me Close
This week, we learn that God loves us and is always close to us.
Day 1 — God Loves Me
Scripture: “God is love.” (1 John 4:8)
Teaching: God made you. He knows your name. He loves you all the time.
Reflection: God loves me. I am special to Him.
Little Action: Say: “Thank You, God, for loving me.”
Prayer: Dear God, thank You for loving me. Help me to remember that You are always with me. Amen.
Day 2 — God Is Always With Me
Scripture: “I am with you always.” (Matthew 28:20)
Teaching: God is with you at home. He is with you at school. He is always close to you.
Reflection: God is near me right now. I am never alone.
Little Action: Whisper: “God, I know You are here.”
Prayer: Dear God, thank You for staying close to me. Help me to remember You are always near. Amen.
Day 3 — Jesus Wants to Be My Friend
Scripture: “I have called you friends.” (John 15:15)
Teaching: Jesus loves you very much. He wants to be your friend. He wants you to stay close to Him.
Reflection: Jesus is my friend. I can talk to Him anytime.
Little Action: Tell Jesus one thing about your day.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for being my friend. Help me to stay close to You every day. Amen.
Day 4 — God Made Me
Scripture: “You formed me in my mother’s womb.” (Psalm 139:13)
Teaching: God made you with love. He made your body, your mind, and your heart. You are His special creation.
Reflection: God made me. I am special to Him.
Little Action: Say: “Thank You, God, for making me.”
Prayer: Dear God, thank You for making me. Help me to remember that I belong to You. Amen.
Day 5 — God Knows Me
Scripture: “I know my own.” (John 10:14)
Teaching: God knows everything about you. He knows your thoughts, your joys, and your worries. He understands you completely.
Reflection: God knows me. I can trust Him.
Little Action: Tell God one thing you are thinking about today.
Prayer: Dear God, thank You for knowing me so well. Help me to trust You with everything. Amen.
Day 6 — God Is Good
Scripture: “The Lord is good to all.” (Psalm 145:9)
Teaching: God is always good. Everything He does comes from love. He wants what is best for you.
Reflection: God is good. I can trust His love.
Little Action: Think of one good thing God has given you today.
Prayer: Dear God, thank You for being so good to me. Help me to trust Your love every day. Amen.
Day 7 — I Belong to God
Scripture: “You are God’s.” (1 Corinthians 3:23)
Teaching: You belong to God. He made you, He loves you, and He cares for you. You are His.
Reflection: I belong to God. I am safe with Him.
Little Action: Place your hand on your heart and say: “I belong to God.”
Prayer: Dear God, thank You that I belong to You. Help me to stay close to You always. Amen.
Week 2 — Jesus Gave Me Mary as My Mother
This week, we learn that Mary loves us and helps us come closer to Jesus.
Day 8 — Jesus Gave Me Mary
Scripture: “Behold, your mother.” (John 19:27)
Teaching: When Jesus was on the cross, He gave us Mary to be our mother. She loves us and cares for us.
Reflection: Mary is my mother. She loves me.
Little Action: Say: “Mary, be my mother.”
Prayer: Dear Mary, thank You for being my mother. Help me to stay close to Jesus. Amen.
Day 9 — Mary Loves Me
Scripture: “The mother of Jesus was there.” (John 2:1)
Teaching: Mary was always close to Jesus. She is also close to you. She cares about your life.
Reflection: Mary is with me. She cares for me.
Little Action: Say: “Mary, stay close to me.”
Prayer: Dear Mary, thank You for loving me. Help me to remember that you are always near. Amen.
Day 10 — Mary Helps Me Go to Jesus
Scripture: “Do whatever He tells you.” (John 2:5)
Teaching: Mary always leads us to Jesus. She helps us listen to Him and follow Him.
Reflection: Mary brings me to Jesus.
Little Action: Ask Mary to help you listen to Jesus today.
Prayer: Dear Mary, help me to listen to Jesus and follow Him always. Amen.
Day 11 — Mary Prays For Me
Scripture: “Pray for one another.” (James 5:16)
Teaching: Mary prays for you. She asks Jesus to help you and guide you.
Reflection: Mary is praying for me.
Little Action: Say: “Mary, please pray for me.”
Prayer: Dear Mary, thank You for praying for me. Help me to trust your care. Amen.
Day 12 — Mary Is Gentle and Kind
Scripture: “Blessed are the meek.” (Matthew 5:5)
Teaching: Mary is gentle and kind. She teaches us to be gentle and loving too.
Reflection: I want to be kind like Mary.
Little Action: Do one kind thing for someone today.
Prayer: Dear Mary, help me to be gentle and kind like you. Amen.
Day 13 — Mary Says Yes to God
Scripture: “Let it be done to me according to your word.” (Luke 1:38)
Teaching: Mary said “yes” to God. She trusted Him completely. We can try to say “yes” to God too.
Reflection: I want to say yes to God.
Little Action: Say: “Yes, God, I will follow You.”
Prayer: Dear Mary, help me to say yes to God like you did. Amen.
Day 14 — I Can Go to Mary
Scripture: “Ask, and you will receive.” (Matthew 7:7)
Teaching: You can always go to Mary. You can talk to her and ask for her help.
Reflection: I can go to Mary anytime.
Little Action: Tell Mary one thing you need help with.
Prayer: Dear Mary, help me to come to you and trust you always. Amen.
Week 3 — Mary Helps Me Stay Close to Jesus
This week, we learn how Mary helps us pray, trust, and follow Jesus.
Day 15 — Mary Helps Me Pray
Scripture: “Pray without ceasing.” (1 Thessalonians 5:17)
Teaching: Mary helps you to pray. She teaches you to talk to God and listen to Him.
Reflection: Mary helps me to pray.
Little Action: Say a simple prayer with Mary today.
Prayer: Dear Mary, help me to pray and stay close to God. Amen.
Day 16 — Mary Leads Me to Jesus
Scripture: “Come, follow me.” (Matthew 4:19)
Teaching: Mary always leads you to Jesus. She helps you follow Him with love.
Reflection: Mary brings me to Jesus.
Little Action: Ask Mary to help you follow Jesus today.
Prayer: Dear Mary, lead me to Jesus and help me follow Him. Amen.
Day 17 — Mary Helps Me Trust God
Scripture: “Trust in the Lord.” (Proverbs 3:5)
Teaching: Mary trusted God completely. She helps you trust Him too.
Reflection: I trust God like Mary.
Little Action: Say: “God, I trust You.”
Prayer: Dear Mary, help me to trust God in everything. Amen.
Day 18 — Mary Helps Me Listen
Scripture: “Listen to him.” (Matthew 17:5)
Teaching: Mary listened to God. She helps you listen to Jesus in your heart.
Reflection: I listen to Jesus.
Little Action: Sit quietly for a moment and listen to God.
Prayer: Dear Mary, help me to listen to Jesus and follow Him. Amen.
Day 19 — Mary Helps Me Love Jesus
Scripture: “Love one another.” (John 13:34)
Teaching: Mary loves Jesus very much. She helps you love Him more each day.
Reflection: I love Jesus.
Little Action: Tell Jesus: “I love You.”
Prayer: Dear Mary, help me to love Jesus with all my heart. Amen.
Day 20 — Mary Helps Me Stay Close to Jesus
Scripture: “Remain in me.” (John 15:4)
Teaching: Mary helps you stay close to Jesus. She keeps you near Him every day.
Reflection: I stay close to Jesus.
Little Action: Think of Jesus during your day.
Prayer: Dear Mary, help me to stay close to Jesus always. Amen.
Day 21 — Mary Helps Me Follow Jesus
Scripture: “Whoever follows me…” (John 8:12)
Teaching: Mary helps you follow Jesus in your words and actions.
Reflection: I follow Jesus.
Little Action: Do something good that Jesus would want you to do.
Prayer: Dear Mary, help me to follow Jesus every day. Amen.
Week 4 — I Choose to Follow Jesus
This week, we learn how to choose Jesus and try to live as His friends.
Day 22 — I Can Choose Jesus
Scripture: “Choose this day whom you will serve.” (Joshua 24:15)
Teaching: Every day, you can choose to follow Jesus. You can choose what is good, loving, and true.
Reflection: I choose Jesus.
Little Action: Say: “Jesus, I choose You today.”
Prayer: Dear Jesus, help me to choose You in all I do today. Amen.
Day 23 — I Can Say Yes to What Is Good
Scripture: “Let your light shine.” (Matthew 5:16)
Teaching: Jesus helps you choose what is good. You can shine His light by doing what is right.
Reflection: I can choose what is good.
Little Action: Do one good thing without being asked.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, help me to choose what is good and pleasing to You. Amen.
Day 24 — I Can Say Sorry
Scripture: “Forgive us our trespasses.” (Matthew 6:12)
Teaching: Sometimes you do wrong. Jesus loves you and wants you to say sorry and come back to Him.
Reflection: I can say sorry to Jesus.
Little Action: Tell Jesus you are sorry for one thing today.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, I am sorry for the times I do wrong. Help me to come back to You always. Amen.
Day 25 — Jesus Helps Me Begin Again
Scripture: “His mercies are new every morning.” (Lamentations 3:23)
Teaching: Jesus is full of mercy. When you fall, He helps you get up and begin again.
Reflection: Jesus helps me begin again.
Little Action: Say: “Jesus, help me begin again.”
Prayer: Dear Jesus, thank You for Your mercy. Help me to begin again with You. Amen.
Day 26 — I Can Love Others
Scripture: “Love one another.” (John 13:34)
Teaching: When you follow Jesus, you learn to love others. You can show His love in small ways every day.
Reflection: I can love like Jesus.
Little Action: Do one loving thing for someone today.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, help me to love others the way You love me. Amen.
Day 27 — I Can Obey Jesus
Scripture: “If you love me, keep my commandments.” (John 14:15)
Teaching: Jesus teaches you how to live. When you obey Him, you stay close to Him.
Reflection: I want to obey Jesus.
Little Action: Choose one thing today that you know is right.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, help me to obey You with love and trust. Amen.
Day 28 — I Want to Live as Jesus’ Friend
Scripture: “You are my friends.” (John 15:14)
Teaching: Jesus calls you His friend. He wants you to live close to Him each day.
Reflection: I want to live as Jesus’ friend.
Little Action: Tell Jesus: “I want to be Your friend.”
Prayer: Dear Jesus, help me to live as Your faithful friend every day. Amen.
Week 5 — Getting Ready to Belong to Jesus
This week, we get ready to give ourselves to Jesus through Mary.
Day 29 — I Want to Belong to Jesus
Scripture: “You are Christ’s.” (1 Corinthians 3:23)
Teaching: Jesus loves you and wants you to belong to Him completely. You can give yourself to Him.
Reflection: I want to belong to Jesus.
Little Action: Say: “Jesus, I belong to You.”
Prayer: Dear Jesus, I want to belong to You. Help me to stay close to You always. Amen.
Day 30 — I Give Myself to Jesus
Scripture: “Present your bodies as a living sacrifice.” (Romans 12:1)
Teaching: You can give your whole life to Jesus — your thoughts, your words, and your actions.
Reflection: I give myself to Jesus.
Little Action: Say: “Jesus, I give myself to You.”
Prayer: Dear Jesus, I give myself to You. Help me to live for You every day. Amen.
Day 31 — Mary Helps Me Give Myself to Jesus
Scripture: “Behold, your mother.” (John 19:27)
Teaching: Mary helps you give yourself to Jesus. She takes your hand and brings you to Him.
Reflection: Mary helps me belong to Jesus.
Little Action: Say: “Mary, help me give myself to Jesus.”
Prayer: Dear Mary, help me to give myself fully to Jesus. Amen.
Day 32 — I Trust Jesus Completely
Scripture: “Do not be afraid.” (Matthew 14:27)
Teaching: Jesus is always with you. You can trust Him with everything.
Reflection: I trust Jesus.
Little Action: Say: “Jesus, I trust You.”
Prayer: Dear Jesus, help me to trust You completely. Amen.
Day 33 — I Am Ready to Belong to Jesus
Scripture: “Here I am.” (1 Samuel 3:4)
Teaching: You are ready to give yourself to Jesus through Mary. You can say yes with your whole heart.
Reflection: I am ready to belong to Jesus.
Little Action: Say: “Jesus, I am Yours.”
Prayer: Dear Jesus, I am ready to belong to You. Help me to stay faithful to You always. Amen.

Today, I give myself to You through Mary.
Mary, my Mother, help me to belong completely to Jesus. Help me to stay close to Him, to listen to Him, and to follow Him every day.
