Shieldbearers Rosary

Welcome, Shieldbearers. This Rosary page is here to help you pray with greater focus, courage, and maturity as you prepare to follow Christ more fully. Each mystery invites you to reflect on the life of Jesus and Mary, and to ask the Holy Spirit for the strength to live as a faithful disciple. Open each set of mysteries one at a time, listen carefully, pray slowly, and allow Mary to lead you closer to her Son.

Opening Prayers

Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

The Apostles’ Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Closing Prayer

Hail Holy Queen
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,
our life, our sweetness and our hope.
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve.
To thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate,
thine eyes of mercy toward us,
and after this our exile,
show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God,
that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ. Amen.

Joyful Mysteries

The Annunciation

Reflection
The Angel Gabriel appears to Mary and asks her to become the Mother of Jesus. This moment required complete trust. Mary did not know what lay ahead, but she chose to say yes to God’s will. Her courage and obedience opened the way for our salvation. Like Mary, we are called to trust God, even when His plan is not clear, and to respond with faith rather than fear.

Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,

now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Repeat ×5

Glory Be
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.

Closing Line
Holy Spirit, give me the courage to say yes to God’s will.

The Visitation

Reflection
After saying yes to God, Mary does not keep the gift to herself—she goes in haste to help her cousin Elizabeth. She carries Jesus to others through her actions. The Visitation shows that true faith is not passive. When we receive Christ, we are called to bring Him to others through service, humility, and love. Like Mary, we must be ready to act, not just believe.

Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Repeat ×5

Glory Be
Glory be to the Father,

and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.

Closing Line
Holy Spirit, help me bring Christ to others through my actions.

The Nativity

Reflection
Jesus is born in poverty and simplicity, not in power or comfort. The King of the world enters quietly, welcomed by Mary, Joseph, and humble shepherds. This shows us that God’s way is not the world’s way. To follow Christ, we must learn humility, detach from selfish desires, and recognise Him even in the ordinary. True strength is not found in status, but in faithfulness to God.

Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,

Repeat ×5

Glory Be
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.

Closing Line
Holy Spirit, teach me to follow Christ with humility and faith.

The Presentation

Reflection
Mary and Joseph present Jesus in the Temple, offering Him completely to God. This act shows obedience, sacrifice, and trust in God’s plan. Simeon recognises who Jesus truly is and accepts the cost that will come with following Him. The Presentation reminds us that faith is not just belief—it requires surrender. To follow Christ, we must be willing to offer our lives to God and trust Him, even when it leads to sacrifice.

Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,

and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit,
as it was in the beginning, is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.

Closing Line
Holy Spirit, help me to offer my life to God with trust and courage.

The Finding of Jesus in the Temple

Reflection
After three days of searching, Mary and Joseph find Jesus in the Temple, focused on His Father’s work. Even at a young age, Jesus shows that God must come first. This moment challenges us to examine our priorities. Do we seek God with the same determination? Are we willing to choose Him above everything else? Following Christ means putting God at the centre of our lives, even when it is difficult or misunderstood.

Our Father
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us,
